Alex Petrusaitis, or ‘Mr. P.’ as he’s known around the music school, was born and raised in Hamilton, MT. He has been teaching band, choir, and drumline in Darby, MT, for 15 years. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Montana and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Rocky Mountain College. 

“Training Students to Become Independent Musicians” is the overarching vision for his lessons. The way his students achieve this goal is through consistent practice at home combined with a focused, encouraging, and fun teaching style that helps students build a strong music vocabulary to promote fundamentals, improvisation, and confidence as they learn to play the drums and/or guitar. 

During the week Alex plays piano for his local church, and is also a member in the bands Montana Reign, Verano, and Garlic Aeolian.
